"Love Love Love" PART ASSIGNMENTS! :D
Here are the parts!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nX3qLIEW_4HoaSx7pnKNF5Ldn1V9C7RdJTzsdM6OXSU/edit?authkey=CPvH3a0H#
Tell me if you can't see itt.
Everybody got an equal amount of 4 lines, except me and Sella got 5 (but the extras were just the "Baby"s in the beginning...). I hope you got parts that you like! I tried to fit them with your voice ranges (me and Sella have all the high parts... .____.), and I hope I did an okay job of that. If you have any problems, just tell me! And sorry that the parts are kinda small... I tried to split it up as evenly as I could! :/
Some things to be aware of: (copy-pasting from Alina's in Summer Rain)
-Don't be lazy! :O:O Stay sharp and pronounce clearly.
-The chorus is really really soft and calm and gentle. Use either mixed voice or falsetto, chest voice will overpower the feeling. (same for us! "Love Love Love" is very cute and happy, not sad or angry)
-When you do ad-libs, make sure you carefully listen to the original version! (check that you are doing EXACTLY or at least very similar to what they do in the actual song!)
-Try not to strain! Use falsetto if necessary. (for my cute voice, I use a mix of falsetto and my real voice. Maybe you can try that?)
-EMOTIONEMOTIONEMOTIONEMOTION! (heheh you do NOT want a monotonous voice for this song... Be happy! )
-Harmonies can be included in your recording.
-Articulation: (I'm adding this), don't be too choppy with the words, but don't draaag them out either. Try to fit with the way they're singing it!
*MAKE SURE YOUR TRACKS ARE SEPARATED (ex. solo, chorus, ad-libs)
**WHEN YOU RECORD, PLAY THE SONG AT THE SAME TIME SO WHEN WE MIX IT WE CAN SIMPLY STICK YOUR TRACKS IN INSTEAD OF MOVING THEM AROUND.
***DON'T FORGET TO NOTTTTTTTTT SING WITH AN INSTRUMENTAL!
-DEADLINE WILL BE: JANUARY 18TH- Is that okay?
Thanks Autumn Air!! Hope this is satisfactory...

rightright. I still suggest that you play the song while you're singing (to get the rhythms and intonation) but put in earphones or something? So that it cannot be heard in the actual recording that you are giving me. I will put in the instrumental while mixing.raachelala wrote:you mean don't sing with an instrumental right? :O

Thanks Rachel! I'll download it soon...
WAIT, did you record the last chorus separately? Because they change key signatures! It gets higher!
DID YOU HEAR THAT EVERYONE? THE LAST CHORUS IS DIFFERENT FROM THE PREVIOUS TWO!

Ah I tried putting my previously recorded chorus over the instrumental for the last chorus and it sounded way off heh... O_o Well, can you rerecord the last chorus anyways just in case?

Thanks everyone! I'll try to put it together as quickly as possible... .______.
And it's fine, Sella. I'll just put your part in later and work on the others' for now. Don't worryy, it's not your fault.

Re: "Love Love Love" PART ASSIGNMENTS! :D
Hey guys! Just an update, I'm about finished mixing, I just need Sella's part noww.
However, while I was mixing, I realized a few things that we all can improve on (in order of importance). Please read this!! It will help make our next collab even better!
1) Intonation (staying in tune)- Yes, we all hit wrong notes, but there's a way to prevent or at least lessen it. I suggest that you record yourself and then listen to the actual song or put your recording over it to see if the notes match up. It will help you realize which notes you aren't getting since sometimes we may not realize it ourselves. I know I don't like singing a song in front of other people if I haven't heard myself (recorded) to hear if it's in tune. Just one of those things that is really noticeable and sticks out if it's not right.
2) Timing- Did you all sing while listening to the actual song? Because that helps a loott. I know I can be off if I am just "acapella" (ish) singing without the music. We didn't all seem to be perfectly together in the choruses, and some of the solos didn't match up completely with the timing of the actual song. This is a simple mistake and many people make it, don't worryy. You can fix this the same way as staying in tune- by matching your recording up with the actual song. Then you'll be able to easily pick out which places are a little off, because this also tends to be a bit obvious.
3) Volume- some of the recordings were reaally soft, so I had to not just double-track it, but quadruple and quintuple track it. (Meaning I had to raise the volume 4 or 5 times louder for some places.) I don't think its completely your fault, (part of it might be your microphone quality?) but for next time, try to sing a bit louder. Don't push yourself though, and don't scream the notes. Do *not* sacrifice sound quality for volume. If you can't sing a part loudly, just sing it at your comfortable volume. To sing louder, try using your diaphragm, which is about where your stomach is. When you breathe, check that your stomach is getting bigger and smaller with your breaths, and your shoulders aren't really moving. This will help give you take deeper breaths and get better/louder sound. *Don't* use your throat to sing and *don't* take shallow breaths. However, don't breathe extremely loudly either (lol) because that will sound weird in the recording...heh.
4) Style/Mood- stay with the feeling of the song. For example, don't start singing a happy song like a sad love song or an angry pop song or a really emotional song or something (haha idk). Our group, Autumn Air, does happy love songs, so the sound is bright and cheerful. Usually, this means singing the words with a more connected feel. BUT, do *not* draaaaaag them out! Leave small spaces in between phrases/words. Think of it like "pa pa pa" instead of "laaaalaaalaaaaa", you know what I mean? But DON'T make the words too short either. Don't cut of the ends too soon- just leave mini breaks. And I suggest making your voice sound a bit sweeter? Try recording and hearing it. Then think, "Does this remind me of rainbows and lollipops?" (lol you don't have to think that, but you get what I mean?) Actually, don't worry too much about volume. Most love songs have a softer, sweeter mood.
THANK YOU for reading all that hahaha. ^^ Hope this helped you and will make our next song sound awesome!!

Re: "Love Love Love" PART ASSIGNMENTS! :D
Oh, Alina wants us to debut in a certain order and not every song is mixed yet... I mixed us, Daisy Meadows, and White Fire. (Everyone sounds so good!!) But Alina's still mixing Khaos (apparently it's really hard and frustrating...) and no one's even started Summer Rain yet... I'm going to be mixing a temporary collab really soon so I won't be able to do much more work for debuts except making the videos and finishing up mixing White Fire and Daisy Meadows since I'm still missing parts. Thanks you guys for all being pretty on time! It really helps. Autumn Air was the first one done! haha(:
